Last week I had one of the moments. A “knowing” that someone I love needs me. It was my friend. I could feel her pain deep in my gut.
I called her. “My spidey sense tells me something’s up. Are you ok?”
She sobbed. She was not ok. As we talked through it she was feeling overwhelmed with the bills that came through the door faster than her income. She is an entrepreneur. She has no predictable income and right now the unpredictability was messing with her insides.
I headed over to her because sometimes there are things that a hug can fix and even if a hug might not fix her bank account I knew it would help her soul.
As we talked she got down to what was really up. She didn’t have a handle on where the money she needed over the next couple of months was going to come from, she felt alone and scared. I understood. There were days in the past I had been there myself.
We sat down and mapped out how much money she needed to cover her expenses. Then we mapped out where it would come from. Finally, we made a plan she could execute over the next three months to bring in the cash she needed.
Then she cried really, really hard. It was a cry of release. It was a cry of letting go. It was a beautiful thing.
Sometimes just having some structure and clarity can break through A LOT of fear. And that shift in energy brings its own miracles.
This morning I got a call from her. “You are not going to believe this! “ She recounted a story where $11,000 came into her life unexpectedly. “We have a cushion Patty, a cushion!”
I believed it. The Universe does not want us to live in fear. And the moment we put the weight of our fears down and start taking whatever action we know to take with faith, we create room for magic.
The Universe in benevolent.
