As promised a few weeks ago I hosted my first online event of the year. (As you may recall I got a download that we were all supposed to connect via the interweb and I do my best to take action on those downloads asap!).
Wow! Our lines filled up so quickly that people who showed up even five minutes late couldn’t get on. I was pleasantly surprised because although I put a lot of love into my training I know many of you have been burned by other trainings that left you feeling like you just listened to a 90-minute pitch fest.
I’m often asked what I do differently in my online events that make them FEEL so different. There are three things I started doing differently a few years ago that made online trainings (like webinars and virtual workshops) feel much more delicious to me. I’m guessing this is what makes them feel much better to the audience.
I want to share them with you because I think they can be applied across many different places in your business. So here they are:
- Before I start to craft the content of an online training I sit quietly and watch what is ready to bubble up from within. I let my soul have total freedom here. Once we have all the ideas on the table that is when I let my human brain get in on the gig and organize them in a way that is digestible.
- Before I begin a training, I ask the Divine to work through me and to help me show up fully without attachment to the outcome.
- Finally, during the training I let energy and information flow. I use slides so I don’t get too far off script but I always leave room for Divine inspiration. It is the Divine inspirations that appear that feel the most magical and remind me that I am not alone. The Divine is with me every step of the way.
I’m not sure if this is why my online events feel different to others, but I know this is why they feel different to me!
