Finding Diamonds

Yesterday I was talking to a close friend about a mental struggle she was experiencing.  She was trying to decide whether to take a writing course that had become available.  She had just signed up for a photography course and she wasn’t sure if it would be too overwhelming to do both.

Also, she had scaled back her paying work to devote more time to writing and she was worried about making investments at a time when her income was lower than normal.

This is a struggle us entrepreneurs face time and time again – how to balance investment with income.  On a bigger level its learning to trust that we are safe to follow divine guidance.

Having recently read Tosha Silver’s Outrageous Openness I told my friend a story Tosha shared in her book.  Her friend was stressing over whether to get a second kitty.  She had just gotten one and feared it was often lonely.  But she wasn’t sure she could handle a second.

Tosha suggested her friend ask for a clear sign from Divine on how to proceed.  At the next stop light they saw a woman entering a Vet’s office cradling two kittens.  Her friend was given her answer.  I suggested my friend do the same.

This morning my friend called me to tell me some exciting news.  While walking their dogs her partner had found a diamond in the crack of the sidewalk.  What was so crazy about this story is that my friend had found a diamond in the sidewalk ten years ago and this was the basis of the story she was currently writing.

Within 24 hours Divine had showed her the answer to her dilemma.  I am finding that when we offer the Divine a clear dilemma and release it into her hands without attachment it is resolved with far more ease than we could ever expect.
