It is Saturday night as I write this to you. My daughter, Katie, and I went for a walk earlier and we are headed out again now.
All the laundry is put away.
Fresh sheets will be on the bed soon.
Katie is making us Fettuccini Alfredo for dinner (except it will be something like Penne Alfredo because we ran out of fettuccini and I am not going to the grocery store unless absolutely necessary!)
Matthew, my son, is playing basketball in the rain with my husband.
I have a profound sense of being blessed.
It isn’t that we didn’t have days like this before but they certainly weren’t common. There are gifts inside this isolation that was thrust upon us.
And the biggest win for our family is that everyone is well rested.
I know the ability to appreciate all these gifts is learned and I’m glad life has taught me to receive what is offered.
I am sending you my love and wishes for your health and ease right now.
Patty
