I’m sitting here drinking my coffee, thinking about you.
I’ve been on a sabbatical for 3 months now at the guidance of my Spirit Team. They haven’t given me a real sense on when this will end. But amidst this giant step back from my business, the internet and busy-ness in general, you pass through my mind often.
This time has given me perspective on quite a number of things.
To state the obvious – social media is an energetic suck like no other. You didn’t need me to tell you that though, right? We all know it and yet now that I spend no time there I see how heavy and energetically draining it is on us as spiritual beings.
A few times my daughter has needed me to post something on our community Facebook page and as soon as I pull the site up I can feel the magnetic gunk of it all. I don’t even have to read one single post to feel it.
If at all possible please give yourself a complete and total vacation from social media soon. You’ll start to find your thoughts are clearer, your heart is lighter and the way forward is more obvious.
If speaking to your Spirit Guides and having a deeper connection to your own intuition is important to you, a social media detox will aid those efforts greatly.
But that wasn’t really why I came here. What I’ve been thinking about is how wonderful most people are. There is tremendous generosity and love all around us but it seems harder to see and hear then ever.
I have a theory.
As the pace of life has quickened (and shows no signs of slowing) we have become impatient with ourselves. As that increases we become intolerant of others. This is just a theory by the way. I haven’t tested it widely but I will throw something out to you to try.
For the next week, bless every single thing you do, think and are (and every single thing you don’t get to and are not.)
Bless your flaws and foibles. See your greatness and goodness. Be grateful for who you are.
So much of how we see ourselves and others is based on what we produce but that isn’t really why you came to earth. You came to anchor a unique light in this world. Your light when joined with all other lights create a beautiful menagerie of hope and love.
Every time you deem something about yourself “not enough,” or worse, dismiss all the beautiful and amazing things about yourself, you dim the spectacular light that is you. And as that light dims, darkness feels stronger.
Which brings me back to my theory… if that beautiful light that is you starts glowing a bit stronger I suspect what you see around you may look quite different. As I said, this is a theory. If you’d like to test it, love yourself a bit more and see how you feel about the rest of the world after you do.*
I’d love to know how this lands for you. Send me an email if you feel like sharing. In total transparency it may be weeks (or months) before I respond. This is what caring for myself looks like right now. When I’m given the green light I’ll be back here responding, teaching and sharing like never before!
I love you! I mean that. We might never have met but there is something inside you that resonates with what is in this message or you would have never been drawn to read it. We share a resonance and that matters.
Thanks for being here and reading my message. I want you to stay connected with me so that I can share all future communications with you.
